The Cardiff Munch
The new Cardiff BDSM Munch started in December 2006 after discussions between seven or eight IC members who were active in the local BDSM scene. We started in grand style, with over 20 people attending and it goes from strength to strength, with often over 50 of us happily chatting and mingling.
The Munch is an excellent place to make like-minded friends and meet new friends in a safe setting. It is a gentle way to start to explore the scene. We organise trips, and many of us regularly go to other Munches, especially Bristol and Bath, and Events and Parties such as Swamp, BBB, Events de Sade, and Club O.

The Cardiff munch is open to consenting adults (i.e. age 18 and over) who have an interest in bdsm.
The Munch starts at 8.00pm and takes place on the second Wednesday of each month. So

It is held in this pub which has an ample car park, and is close to Junction 32 of the M4 and Public Transport links to the City Centre, and if you are prompt good Carvery meals are available at very reasonable prices.
We share the bar with the pubs regular clientelle, so dress code/behaviour is Strictly Vanilla and you must enjoy yourself.
Apart from that, there are no pressures and we are very friendly.

Getting to know you: Over recent months we have had record numbers at The Munch, so, if anyone who is about to attend for the first time might feel a bit overwhelmed entering a large group of strangers there is the opportunity, from September 2009, to meet some of the organisers for a chat on the Tuesday evening in the week before each Munch: please telephone or send one of us a Memo for details - We will be in a different pub.
The Cardiff Munch is not connected to any other events or organisations, we do not endorse or oppose any causes, engage in controversy, or become involved in disputes. We do all that we can to foster a spirit of openness, fellowship and mutual support in the local Bdsm/Fetish community.
However, as in the rest of life, there are always risks, so it is wise to be on your guard especially if you are new to the munch and The Scene: if you are tempted by a beguiling proposition and would like to check out your new best friend please feel free to ask some of the organisers or regulars - they won't mind. Also submissive ladies are encouraged to join Femsubs Group which discusses many topics, including staying safe. There is also a similar Malesubs Group for submissive males to join.
