| Has anyone else noticed that the content of posts on the "General BDSM" forum as dropped significantly lately? It seems that any sort of BDSM-possible topic is being thrown in there. "Word of the Day"???? Give me a break!!! How is that possibly BDSM-related?!?!? Celebrities and BDSM? Not exactly a hot topic, and it used to be under BDSM Activism, where most BDSM news & media links are. | Well, after getting rescheduled until later in the day after some office crises (plural?) happened I met the the director, and she seemed really non-commital. Some info about the place, some background on the position, I asked a few questions I had, and it was pretty much "that's it". There'll be a second round of interviews (!?!?!) which I guess is standard for multi-national companies, but I just got this feeling that she had already made up her mind. | Well it was an interesting party. I was hoping more people would come, but then, well, things come up I suppose. Perhaps one mistake I made was saying that the first part of the party was laidback family friendly vanillay type eat drink and socialise. What's wrong with that? Kinda like a munch with play at the end and Ailsa's excellent macaroni & cheese. | Found Castlerealm mentioned on a thread. Went to the sight. One person on the thread did call it a bit "romanticised". I agree. This is just another site that assumes that BDSM/D/s/etc. relationships are different/better/etc. to other (ie vanilla) relationships. | While looking at MSN.com, I found this article about a computer game that can cure phobias and social anxiety. The game is called Fearfighter. I'm not sure how the game works, or what it does, but apparantly it uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. I'm quite curious about this. The website says that a patient must be recommended by "a trained FF Supporter such as a practice nurse or graduate worker. | The New Zealand film Black Sheep just opened last night. This movie is billed as a thriller/black comedy, and didn't fail to deliver. The main plotline is that a sheep-o-phobic ex-farmboy returns to the farm he grew up in, which is now being run by his corporate money-loving big brother. | It always amuses me how some posts seem to focus on how much like BDSM "vanilla" life is. Like watching D/s dynamics in public, or separating out vanilla skills from BDSM skills. | I left my hometown because I knew that if I didn't, I would never leave. And I didn't want that. I left my past profession and got a postgraduate degree because I knew I didn't want to do that job for the rest of my life. Now I'm unemployed, with the benefit of an expensive degree.
