| I'm posting this at 2.00 am as I sit with Mistress on the sofa drinking tea after trying to remove a bat from our bedroom! We awoke to a loud fluttering noise in the window. As we have a swift nest in the eaves outside the bedroom I thought one might have got in (we've already had a blue tit in the spare room). I gingerly pulled back the curtains and all I could see was a strange black shape on the window ledge. Getting closer I realised it was a bat. We've seen them flitting around outside. | My first day went very well. The people are a nice bunch and the atmosphere is quite relaxed. The first month will be pretty busy though, as there is a major project on with a tight deadline as well as trying to find my feet in the new position. | ||
