| To really explain this little episode, I have to go back to the night before, at the LAM after party. This was my second go on LAM, and I just could not get my head round what a different experience it was, for me. I just had *such* a great time, with - for once - minimal conflict. My first LAM was terrifying, intimidating, liberating, devastating...this LAM was relaxed, fun, full of pleasure and new found confidence and new experiences and all things scrumptious which I just want to put into a little box in my brain marked 'stuff to look at when life is boring and I want a naughty little thrill'. | I feel as if I'm gradually progressing up the scale of club-going. It started with Torture Garden in Brighton. I'd been to TG a couple of times before, years ago, but in the capacity of 'a bunch of goths going out in some pretty clothes to see and be seen'. This was a very different bucket of marine life because although I didn't play, I was a self-defined newbie to bdsm and drew a circle around the outing for myself which very firmly identified the experience as sexual experimentation. | I remember the year I grew strawberry plants for the first time. I was so excited, every day after work I would race home and burst into the garden, eager to check the progress of my little fruits. One berry in particular was the first to ripen, and I watched as over the weeks it grew bigger and the red flush developed, the skin so taut yet so soft, and on the day I put it into my mouth it was so luscious, so ripe and perfect as I ran my tongue over it I couldn't imagine anything I wanted to bite into more.
