| Tonight K was going to be all creative in the kitchen and create Halloween Finger Biscuits. This entailed purchasing lots of exciting ingredients including almond flakes (nails), white "candy sticks" (bone), cookie mixture (accidently choc chip instead of plain- yay for warty fingers) and a tube of red icing stuff (blood) which could only be found in a "make your own england shirt biscuit pack". | Delivered the car to the garage bright and early this morning. A few "cosmetic" repairs required to both sides, after i managed to get closed on by some electronic gates. Not my fault i hasten to add.. faulty gates! Anyhoo, car booked in with Mr Garage Man Who Smirked Alot, and keys handed over for the brand new courtesy car. A Panda no less. Brilliant. [more...] | ||

| And so we survived Budapest, deftly managing not to get caught up in any riots, or even starting any. What a fantastic few days break!! Perks included the 5 star apart-hotel i'd managed to nab from Travelzoo at £50/night... Who knew that hotels could be quite so luxurious?!!! 3 ginormous rooms to ourselves, a bed the size of Whitley Bay, kitchen (fully stocked with essentials such as wine, chocolate and beer... well only wine, beer and chocolate actually), gym and swimming pool (that i dipped my toe in then plumped for the jacuzzi instead, naturally arriving hot and sweaty, back to the room an hour [more...] | ||

| Another summer holiday over and done with, suitcases unpacked (yes, we did need one whole suitcase of shoes, bags and hair stuff...), washing washed, and now lying in piles all over the house . Phew. Ibiza survived us, and we just about survived, 3 of us, me, K and the TFH sharing one hotel room with no air-conditioning. Not brilliant, but location, loaction, location made up for it. With a balcony overlooking the quiet beach, sea and hills, views over to the harbour and across the resort, i was quite happy to spend my holiday sat on the balcony. | 9pm Friday- Number 1 was always the difficult one. It never did what it was meant to, and stoically refused to stick! 3 applications later, assisted by some spitting and gnashing of teeth and it obeyed. Briefly.
