| Mouldiwarp Manor, my ancestral seat, (well, I've been here 15 years)is, alas, like its occupant, showing its age. Part of the problem is that although it's basically a two up/two down, it thinks it's a vast, stately pile with a staff of dozens. In actual fact, the staff numbers just one. Me. | This evening on the way back from the club I found a snail and rescued it. It was stuck to a wall in a carpark, about three feet from the ground - an ideal height for juvenile hume monsters. At sometime in the not-too-distant past, this snail had suffered an injury to a large part of its shell - in fact, it looked like it had been trepanned. the injury had healed, however, so I brought it home to my snail sanctuary. | I'm trying to broaden their horizons and expand their tastes a little. Got them some 'tenderheart' cabbage, but they refuse to believe that it's edible, and they are currently using the leaves as a tent. The peach got a better reception, but they saved all their snaily excitement for a particularly handsome Cos lettuce. [more...] | ||
