| I love living in the north. I enjoy the fact that housing, although extortionate, is still more moderately priced. Its fantastic that Manchester, York, Chester and the glories of the Peak District are just on my doorstep. I enjoy the attitude of Mancunians, the dryness and humour that some southerners seem to not understand. I like the clarity of the light, although I realise that its nothing compared to Scotland. | I was thinking about pain, the giving and the receiving of it. I know from evil twin and from others that some people enjoy pain once it has become fundamentally associated with eroticism in a way that I never could. I know that I can take a huge amount of pain, and have done so, but never in the accepting and even needful way that others I know can do. I can safely say that I have never relished the receiving of severe pain for pain's sake. I can take it.
