Am going through a really bad time emotionally at the moment - the thought of a long drag on a fag is sooooo enticing! I really want a ciggie, want the rush it gives and the satisfaction afterwards  | ||

| Okay so that's the next step put into motion, I visited the NHS Local Advisor. As I walked to the surgery the good old mind started tick, could this really be the day when I finaly make that big jump as to smoking and NO smoking ? I had rolled a couple of cigs to smoke whilst walking, It is a good 20min walk through the back lanes so it is quite a pleasant stroll, lighting up and feeling guilty but yet convinced it was coming to the end, the words in my head saying this one doesn't matter as when I get my Champix its all over. | Hi all. Well I thought I'd give you an update. As you know I bought a copy of Allen Carrs EasyWay to stop smoking book on the recommendation of pseudonym739 and I'm about a third of the way through it, well what with being a stallholder at the BBB it's been a busy weekend. Anyway I must admit I didn't really have high hopes as I can't take anything at face value and won't blindly believe sod all without a valid reason, which I think comes from being an engineer I have to know how something works to accept it. So I am somewhat at a loss for words as to why my perspective of smoking as subtly changed. [more...] | ||

| Well here we go D-Day is looming, I have an appointment with the stop smoking nurse at the local surgery this coming Wednesday. I am viewing this step with both excitement and immense trepidation, I mean to say I want to but then those little demons say do you really? Can I really live with out my daily fix? Aghhh!!! The dilemma,!! Interestingly it appears to be the fear of “can this appointment really be the day that 25 years of smoking comes to an end?
