| The latest government bizarre plan to tax the internet, (broadband tax) is on its way and should be implemented in the finance act before the general election. It's a telephone tax at 50p per month on all landlines which is expected to raise revenue for a major investment in the broadband infrastructure, which is already run by private companies mainly BT and Virgin media (although Virgin do have a fibre optic network). Maybe this is the start of some grand plan to nationalise the internet? Or some odd way of subsidising (bailing out a privatised company) to upgrade there infrastructure. [more...] | ||

| I logged in to my 'nilla' email account yesterday and came across a new feature in gmail called Google Buzz. My email box has now gone all Twittery. If I wanted that I would have signed up to Twitter (although I am on Twit under my IC name) People can now follow me and I can follow them and other things. | There has been a spate of high profile resignations at the Equality and Human Rights Commission over the past few days. Media reports are suggesting that the current boss Trevor Phillips is clinging on to his job.
