Today is all about me me me and I'm loving it, all for two seconds, before I go back to work with the vulnerable. Now I'm not a hugger, BUT, when I told people at work I was feeling slightly off my head, they were very understanding. Well, so they damn well should be in their profession Two people gave me HUGE WARM hugs, the one from my female colleague was nice. | Oh my God, it will take courage young Shamonu to get you through the night. I'm at work, with PMT and that fatty, bloaty, shitty feeling and its a full moon. Now, I feel like shite, but I know murder is the only crime that does'nt increase with the full moon, so all the people in my care are safe. But I tend to get accident prone around this time, so I've locked all the sharp knives away, along with the bananas. I thought I was on the change but after two months, I got them back again. | After reading RiverDeeps posts, weblogs etc and being Taurean, it got me thinking about my people gripes again. I'm upfront, proactive and to the point I started feeling my disillusionment setting in again. I get times when people in general just get on my nerves and I shut up shop for a while. If I say I'll do something I do it, I make things happen, I don't shy away. I miss that about many people I meet. I am the positive to manys negative. | Happy Birthday Mum 81 today. Happy Fathers Day Dad...........Silence.............................. ................................................Mum passed away when she was 52 after a 6 year illness. Dad died at 60. I would give up everything I have, friends, home, except my cats, because they love me and would'nt understand, just to spend a day with my mum. To hear her laughter, shed our tears, tell her about my life in the last 29 years, feel her loving arms around me and how she used to make me feel so loved and safe. [more...] | ||

| I love working in my particular job at Christmas. It's a magical place where I get to contribute to a happy and fun filled day. The people I work with have a variety of problems, on top of homelessness and substance misuse issues. Many would have spent today alone, drunk, on the streets. We have a hearty breakfast, followed by opening presents. I organise fun activities for the day and then we sit down to dinner together. I hate reading, so I'll keep it short. I LOVE LIFE, and each day I live I thank whoever that I'm healthy, wierd, have good friends, food to eat, can bring laughter and fun to peoples lives and that I can see the beauty in the world, IT'S GREAT TO BE ALIVE
