| A friend mentioned to me that I should look sometime at power and control, words and traits that I mention often, and to look at them quite aside from anything else. I have been throwing that idea around in my head and it is a much more difficult thing to do than you would imagine. I also came to the conclusion that these cannot be mentioned or discussed without looking at two other words, trust and fear. | I have re written the first part of this three times as I lost the original so I'll set the scene then post what I have. Recently I had my first experience of playing with needles as the person actually using them and not the person on the receiving end. We all had a great time and it was a great experience all around. Not a little bit weird which it could have been both within friends and 'switching' in front of two guys who are used to seeing me from the other side…one of which it was his girl (no pressure then) LOL [more...] | ||

| I have always been blessed, or cursed, with a power for truth. I believe in having the difficult conversations, or facing the ugly facts, even when I know they will hurt. I would rather have a conversation that may open dangerous doors or go knowingly into shaky territory than hide behind polite pleasantries and hope that either things will remain constant while I work them out or somehow improve spontaneously. | I have been thinking today about the role of play in stress relief, in my personal case. I have had a very rough few weeks. In fact in a lot of ways it has been a challenging year so far. With the final year of study getting tougher and my job being uncertain as well as issues at home I have felt a lot on my shoulders.
