| So, today was always going to be crap. I was out at 7.30am watering my garden and what did I discover. Only that some brain dead pillock in a big lorry had demolished my fence when making a truly poor attempt at reversing in the Homebase service area. Snapped my newly painted fence panel in two and shifted two concrete posts out of the position. I hadn't worried before about the lorries manoeuvring behind my boundary before, now I fully expect to find a lorry pirouetting on my lawn. [more...] | ||

| I spoke to my Mum on the phone about 8 o'clock that morning and we were full of ideas about what we could do when Dad was discharged from hospital. How to look after him and make him comfortable in a bed downstairs.After weeks of up and downs, set backs, fears, the heart bypass operation and the aftermath of it, we were finally to have him home again. 'TLC and home cooking' was what the Doctor's said was needed, just the stuff to stimulate his appetite and cheer him up. Nothing was medically wrong with him. That was what they said. [more...] | ||

Despite having been through some forms of forced Christianity as a child, I still felt maybe there was something in matters spiritual.
