| New Year 2011 started in the way the year was determined to carry on. A close family member was still ill at home after being hospitalized the previous November. I spent the holiday season attempting to keep them alive whilst resolutely keeping the festivities going. Christmas is my favourite time of year and nothing's going to stop me forcing everyone to eat chocolate for breakfast. | Listen intently at your bedroom door to try and ensure there is no-one waiting outside (be very careful here, they may be deliberately keeping quiet to fool you into a false sense of security). When you think the coast is clear open the door as quietly as you can and, if there's no-one outside waiting to test your over developed startle response, make a dash for it. If you hear a voice calling you, or footsteps coming upstairs at this point, put a sprint on and leg it as fast as you can into the bathroom using selective deafness to pretend you haven't heard anything.
