The use of an implement, such as a cane or crop, delivered in a prolonged series of light, often high frequency, taps, designed to stimulate the body. The Dominant has control over the force of the taps, the rhythm, the direction of movement of the taps, e.g. starting at the ankles and working upwards, and whether the taps are focussed on a particular area or more generically. With Twilting, as opposed to normal caning, the focus is not always on the back and the buttocks, but the attention can be directed to the whole of the body, both back and front and high and low. Should you tackle the Head area, I would avoid percussive strokes, unless you are into face slapping, but rather gently run the implement over the hair and face, taking care, at all times,to avoid poking the eyes! The experience is designed to be pleasurable, can be relaxing, can be erotic. It can bring a person to orgasm. The session, which can last for a long period of time ( hours ) may be ended by one hard blow of the cane on the buttocks, which can be most stimulating and arousing.
