Urotherapy (Urine therapy, also urinotherapy or uropathy) refers to various applications of human urine for medicinal or cosmetic purposes, including drinking of one's own urine (urophagia) and massaging one's skin with one's own urine. It was used in various ancient cultures, and is still used in various areas of the world, today. In Western culture, it is considered a form of alternative medicine, as opposed to conventional, science-based medicine.
