A [b]uniform fetish[/b] is a sexual fetish in which either a man or a woman enjoys dressing in a uniform, or someone derives sexual pleasure from viewing women (or possibly men) dressed in this manner. While this is classified as a sexual fetish, it does not require any actual sexual contact per se. Among the commonest uniforms used are those of a [about=schoolgirl uniform fetish]schoolgirl[/about], nurse, cheerleader, [about=French maid]French maid[/about], policeman and firefighter. The uniforms may be realistic, or made sexier by for example a very short skirt, stockings, fishnet tights or high heels.

Sometimes, a uniform may be used appropriate to what is being done. For example, someone may wear a nurse's uniform to administer an [about=enema]enema[/about], or a police uniform to handcuff and cage someone. This may add a sense of authenticity to the game play.
