Triad is a term used to describe a style of poly relationship featuring, specifically, three people.
It is commonly used to describe the relationship in terms of a 'triangle' where three people are all involved with one another in a caring, loving and sexual relationship.
It is also used as a term for a 'V' style relationship. Where two
people are involved, in the same loving and sexual way, with one person,
