Sex slings are common in both the BDSM and vanilla worlds. Usually made of black leather, these slings are used to position the bottom with legs raised and spread to facilitate sex acts. They are often used for fisting or anal sex. They can also be used with or without additional bondage; a sling is not always used as a bondage device.
In order to operate, slings require overhead support such as ring bolts in the ceiling or a bondage frame. This makes it difficult to use in a domestic environment. A number of manufacturers have come up with designs that include a suspension frame to solve this problem.See also
