Possession is having control and use for one's own purposes of that which is possessed, and involves some or all of the rights associated with property ownership. In D/s and M/s, possession amounts to a transfer of authority over the submissive or slave which may be limited in time or scope, or may be veto-less and inescapable in the form of ownership.
In O&P, Possession represents the D/s half of the
continuum of O&P relationships.See also
