]] Open face hoods are a type of hood which covers the head but leaves the face exposed. Open face hoods are particulary popular with females (both dominant and submissive), as the face is framed by the hood in a striking manner and wearing it will not smudge make-up. The visual impact of the hood is not unlike that of a nun's wimple. This type of hood is also popular with people intersted in pony play, as it will not affect the wearing of bit gags.
