A small community of people into BDSM or D/s or Leather whose bonds often mimic that of a birth family. A Leather Family often has a "Head of Family", and some sort of hierarchy between members. A D/s Household provides an alternative model.
It should be noted however that in some instances the concept of Leather
Family and D/s Household overlap i.e.
a Leather Family may be run equally ritually/formally as a
D/s Household, adhering to similar strict D/s
hierarchical and D/s codes and having a definitive (male or female)
