In [about=BDSM]BDSM[/about] play, a dungeon is any space set aside for [about=scene]scene[/about] activities. It may or may not be underground and may or may not resemble a stereotypical dungeon from a historical film - it could, for example, be a spare bedroom with bedroom-style decorating. Dungeons are often extensively equipped with specialist [about=SM equipment]SM equipment[/about] for BDSM play. These might include a [about=cage]cage[/about], a [about=St Andrews cross]St Andrews cross[/about], [about=shackles]shackles[/about] and [about=suspension bondage]suspension bondage[/about] equipment.
