I agree with the point that everyone is different, As I am regularly spanked, strapped & caned my pain threshold is very high but instead of getting a “rhino hide” I can bleed quite easily, especially with implements like wooden paddles & hair brushes, As far as carrying on after blood is drawn that is down to the individual, other than it can be a bit messy I say “carry on”. In fact when a cane welt splits it is a lot less painful, just like when you prick a pinch blood blister to relive the pressure. For the record I have drawn blood with my hand when in Dom. Mode.

I have done a fair amount of CP in my time. I have to say that if you are in a long session moving around is a good option. Taking a break to move position etc. It lets you rest your arms/hands as well!!!
You can also get them to wear kickers or latex on their bum. This, I have noticed, means you do need a bit more pwer, but will prolong the length of time before the skin starts to split. Of course you can always take it off! This again is a bit of a head-fuck thing.
From this Domme's point of view - I'm ambidextrous which also helps with the hand/arm ache thing. Very useful to learn CP with the other hand!!!

I've wondered from time to time about using leather gloves for a long hard session. There are times when it seems a shame to start using implements, the hand has so much more ability to meet the curves it is about to spank. But the sting can get just too much: it is, after all, supposed to be the sub who hurts, not me!!
Any experience, as spanker or spankee, on use of gloves?

Yeah - as top - pair of thin, supple leather gloves, the imagery was nice but tbh, I didn't like the loss of feeling, prefer flesh on flesh. Another pair, studded on the palm (actually rather posh mo'bike race gloves), apparently hurt rather, but quite a novel feeling.
As bottom - get back to you on that! ETA Am sure I have been whacked with pvc gloves, but no real difference stands out in my mind.
