Accessibility of historic board posts

I don't know when this happened but I've just noticed that we can't browse older postings via the boards. They only index 20 pages worth of old posts, which for some boards is under a year's worth of historic material. "Recent threads" doesn't give access to historic material either. Older stuff is still there somewhere; it can be found through an individual's posting history or using the search facility. But these don't provide the same browsing facility as a look through the board history would....

YKIOK?

I have read a few posts recently that worry me. They make me think things like: 'That's not sexy behaviour - but inhuman'. They're generally about emotional manipulation rather than physical, where the person has a less than neutral viewpoint about their situation. I don't feel I can be honest due to the YKIOK rule....

Preview problems.

When I hover over a weblog or board thread title in the list, the preview of what's inside appears. This didn't cause me a problem until the past few days. I don't know if something has changed but now the preview pops up so fast that I don't get a chance to click on the title to open it up. I sometimes have to try two or three times to get it to work. ...

'Boards' page

I've just tried to find the list of IC's Boards by clicking on the 'Boards tab at the head of the page. The content of the page I get seems very similar to the 'Theads' Page - it's certainly not a list of IC's boards....

"Switch to smartphone" doesn't seem to work

I can access and sign in to IC from my Blackberry mobile. But when I click on the "Switch to smartphone" button at the bottom of the page, nothing happens. This button, along with several others, cannot be "clicked" by the Blackberry. Consequently, I can read my messages, but not reply to them as the "reply" button won't work. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help with this.

Free Speech on IC?

I post only occasionally on these boards: I type too slowly, am too busy and am generally more interested in the opinions of others than my own. However I read them regularly and enjoy many. I delight in the diversity of opinion, interest and experience. I have read supportive, challenging, disparaging, critical, daft and, sometimes, downright mean remarks. I don't by any means agree with all but I do appreciate the ability of all to speak freely. Just because Your Kink May not be My Kink does not make it any less important or relevant. In the same way, that Your Opinion may not be My Opinion does not devalue or disqualify it and I would not want to see opinions suppressed because they differ or even raise eyebrows or hackles....
