We have an unprecedented opportunity to discuss the issues we face as a BDSMers.
Of course, many of you don't want to.
Others are scared about talking to a journalist.
But all of you (that want to) can write anonymously on the comment boards of the papers.

I think that this is a VERY important point.
This post should be brought up EVERY time a negative OR positive article is written in the papers, alongside a link to the 'Reader's Comments' webpage. It would then be the moral responsibility for anyone here who gives a damn to write a well informed comment, as opposed to a 'This article is shit' comment.
People fear the unknown. It is the responsibility of those that have knowledge to share it with those that do not.
Regards,
Pierced Knight.

Some of the replies on that Telegraph article are priceless gems:
"We all know what he does is perverted and wrong. But because of political correctness and the collapse of the Christian tradition in the UK, we lack the language to say why. "-> I'm sure English would be a good start.
"(an aged married man engaging in SM Sex with a group of prostitues) leaves us mute - its wrong, but we don't know why." -> No need to add more.
And last, but no least:
"GOOGLE ARE FILMING YOU AS I WRITE THIS ..THAT IS MORE WORRYING."
-> Oh yes! the prospect of a video of yours truly picking my nose while typing all over YouTube a reply is horrifying

Above that silly "GOOGLE ARE FILMING YOU" nonsense, the same idiot wrote:
"WE LIVE IN A COUNTRY WHERE GIRLS AS YOUNG AS 11 ..YES 11 ARE BEING GIVEN CONTRACEPTIVES, 'MORNING AFTER' PILLS AND ABORTIONS (WITHOUT PARENTAL KNOWLEDGE APPARENTLY) WITH THE FULL APPROVAL OF TEACHERS, DOCTORS, HEALTH AND SOCIAL WORKERS , COUNCIL OFFICIALS , PHARMACISTS..YES, JUST ABOUT EVERYONE EXCEPT THE PARENT(S).
"AND THEN THE CHILDREN ARE REWARDED WITH COUNCIL FLATS AND A WEEKLY CHEQUE FROM THE STATE. "
Really? Isn't the myth that they get a council flat, etc if they have a baby?
So don't the contraceptives, 'morning after' pills or abortions work? |

Noit sure what your driving at. Local Authorities are legally obligated to provide housing for certain groups of people, including those with children. If you think that's stupid, then really try to think of the consequences of it not being that way. In most areas there is enough housing stock to make that possible, though the losers are the deprioritised social groups rather than the tax payer.

This is the Telegraph. some of their readers belive that kind of thing......... Different strokes etc.. The article is very supportive and a good omen if there are elements in the press who see the issue as liberty versus prohibition which is the ultimate choice for the nation.
Interesting that the press pretty much ignored the liberty by-election fought by David Davis (presumably on orders from the boss) but are less willing to defend the NoTW!
