Help about Informed Consent
Please read through this page
before
asking for help or reporting
problems with Informed Consent. The correct contact details
are given below, and your request will get lost if you send it to the
wrong address!
"How do I ...?"
If your question is about how to use the site and it isn't answered by the
comprehensive Help & About pages, please use the
Website Help board, or ask other people
that you know. Please don't email or memo the site admins with this
kind of question: about 3000 people sign-in each day, so we don't have
enough time to deal with "how do I ...?" queries.
Problems with other users
If you have a dispute with someone else outside of IC, then it needs to be
dealt with outside of IC too. For instance, if you're receiving abusive
emails, you need to report that to their ISP. Please don't import
disputes into IC: this includes "name and shame" campaigns.
If someone is using IC to send you unwelcome memos or chat messages, you
should use the Block button on their profile to stop them contacting
you.
If someone creates a new IC profile to get round a block, or uses the
public web boards or weblogs to attack you by name, you can report
this using the contact details at the bottom of this page.
New features, bugs and technical problems
If you want to suggest a new feature, or have found something that
doesn't work quite right, please make a post on the
Website Help board, being as detailed as you
can.
If there's something which you think is a serious bug, you can also report it
using the contact details below after posting to Website Help.
Contacting us
As we've said, IC has more than 3000 people signing-in each day. We get a
lot of mails and memos about the site (along with a huge amount of spam.) If
you want your question to be dealt with, you need to read all of this page
first.
If it's appropriate to contact us, then you must send your question as an
IC memo to the Admin profile. You can send a memo from
Admin's profile page.
Questions sent to the email address

won't get a reply, and may not be read for several days.
